Safari Itinerary – 4 Days – The Serengeti Safari
Day 1: Arusha – Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Your Annest Kenya Safaris guide will pick you up from your Arusha hotel early in the morning. The scenic drive takes you across the Great Rift Valley highlands, past rolling coffee plantations and Maasai villages, toward the world-renowned Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
After descending 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, prepare for an awe-inspiring wildlife encounter. Home to over 25,000 animals, the crater is one of the best places to spot the Big Five — lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and black rhino — all within a few square kilometers.
Enjoy a picnic lunch beside a hippo pool, surrounded by the sounds of nature, before ascending to your lodge perched on the crater rim, offering sweeping views of the caldera below.

After breakfast, journey westward toward the legendary Serengeti National Park, one of Africa’s oldest and most iconic wildlife sanctuaries. Along the way, you’ll pass through the Olduvai Gorge, an archaeological site that holds the secrets of early human evolution.
As you enter the Serengeti, the landscape opens up into golden plains dotted with acacia trees — the backdrop of countless wildlife documentaries. Herds of wildebeests and zebras move rhythmically across the land, while predators lurk nearby.
In the afternoon, enjoy a thrilling game drive en route to your luxury camp, where the sound of lions roaring in the distance becomes your evening soundtrack.

Day 3: Full-Day in the Serengeti – The Great Migration Experience
Today, immerse yourself in a full day of game drives through the Serengeti National Park, known as “The Land of Endless Plains.”
Your morning begins with the golden sunrise lighting up the horizon — the perfect moment for spotting lions and cheetahs beginning their hunt. Explore the Seronera Valley, famous for big cats and resident wildlife year-round.
During the migration months (June–October and January–March), the park transforms into a theater of life as over 1.5 million wildebeests and zebras traverse the plains in search of greener pastures.
Optional activities include a Serengeti hot air balloon safari (additional cost) — a once-in-a-lifetime chance to float above the herds at sunrise, followed by a champagne breakfast in the bush.
After a day packed with unforgettable sightings, return to your lodge for a sundowner and dinner under a canopy of stars.
