Lunch and Afternoon Game Drive at Aruba Dam and Mudanda Rock

Arrive in Tsavo East, check in to your lodge or camp, and enjoy lunch before your afternoon game drive. Head to Aruba Dam, a prime spot where elephants, zebras, and antelopes gather to drink, and continue to Mudanda Rock for panoramic views of the surrounding plains.

Visit to Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary and Evening Wildlife Viewing

Upon arrival in Tsavo West, visit the Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary, dedicated to protecting Kenya’s endangered rhinos. Explore the sanctuary with chances to spot rhinos up close before heading out for an evening game drive across Tsavo West’s scenic landscapes.

Overnight Stay in Tsavo West with Optional Night Safari

Unwind at your accommodation in Tsavo West, with the option for an evening safari if you wish to see the park’s nocturnal wildlife in action.

We’ll be up early again to make the most of our day. This is a pre-breakfast exploration of the park, for us… and the wildlife. And we’ll all enjoy the deepening colours of the land as the sun burns off the early morning dew.

Later, after the delicious fortitude of a safari breakfast, we’ll strike out for Mzima Springs. This unexpected oasis is fed by crystal-clear waters providing a living habitat for aquatic and land creatures. Its lush greenery stands in marked relief from the rugged plains of the park.

We’ll step from our 4 x 4 Jeep and take a nature walk under the raffia-lined shores, looking for hippo, crocodile, colourful fish and birds. Terrestrial wildlife flocks here as well, so be on guard for zebra and giraffe wandering amongst the acacia trees.

After a farewell game drive through Tsavo West, return to your lodge for breakfast and check out. Embark on the journey back to Mombasa, taking in the final views of Kenya’s remarkable landscapes.
