Memorable 2 Day Amboseli Tour
We had an opportunity to do a 2 day tour of Amboseli when some free time opened up before the start of our main safari in the Maasai Mara conservancy. Based upon the stellar reviews, we decided to book with Annest. Because of the tight timeline, I was a bit nervous leaving everything in the hands of a tour operator. I had nothing to worry about as Annest's agent, driver and guide came through in spades. Booking was very easy as Ezra was prompt in his communications and arranged everything from the pickup from our Nairobi hotel to the flights to our Tortilis Camp accommodations and the private safari drives. The Annest team was punctual and they executed according to plan. Our driver Humphrey really made the difference to our safari drives in Amboseli. He knew where to go to maximize opportunities to see wildlife and continuously monitored radio traffic for sightings. I had told him of my desire to photograph the iconic Mount Kilimanjaro with the elephants in the foreground. Humphrey not only got us to a herd in time, he positioned the vehicle anticipating their exact path. Among the dozen vehicles milling about, we had the best vantage point and encounter as these giants walked within 10 feet of us. 7-Day Kenya Safari and Daini Beach Extension with Annest Kenya Safaris
Our family of six had the best 7 day Kenya safari with a beach extension, and our experience with Annest Kenya Safaris was absolutely amazing from beginning to end. From the moment we started planning our trip, James, our contact person at Annest Kenya Safaris, was incredibly helpful. He took the time to understand what we wanted as a family and carefully organized a trip that gave us the perfect mix of wildlife, adventure, relaxation, and beach time. Everything was clearly communicated and well planned, which made the whole experience feel easy and stress-free. A special thank you to our driver guide, John, who made our safari even more enjoyable. He was friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and always happy to answer our questions. He knew the parks very well and made every game drive exciting. He also made sure everyone in our family was comfortable and enjoying the experience. The safari itself was unforgettable. Seeing Kenya's incredible wildlife in its natural environment, watching the beautiful landscapes change as we travelled, and sharing those moments together as a family made the trip truly special. After the safari, our beach extension was exactly what we needed. It gave us time to slow down, relax, enjoy the ocean, and simply spend quality time together after our days in the bush. We were impressed by how smoothly everything was organized by Annest Kenya Safaris. From the accommodation and transfers to the game drives and beach extension, everything came together perfectly. We never had to worry about the logistics and could simply enjoy our family holiday. A huge thank you to James, John, and the entire Annest Kenya Safaris team for giving our family such a wonderful experience. Unforgettable 7-Day Kenya Safari with Annest Kenya Safaris!
​We had the absolute best experience on our 7-day Kenyan safari, seamlessly organized by Ezra and the team at Annest Kenya Safaris. ​From the start, our driver and guide, John Djomo, was waiting for us at the airport right on time. He was incredible throughout the entire trip—friendly, highly knowledgeable, and full of insights about Kenya's wildlife, culture, and the Maasai people. ​Highlights of our itinerary: ​Amboseli (2 Nights): We kicked off with a half-day game drive right after arrival, spotting herds of elephants, giraffes, zebras, and more. Our lodge catered to our halal buffet request perfectly. ​Lake Naivasha: Staying at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge was an unforgettable highlight! Having wild giraffes and zebras roaming freely around the grounds was magical, and the food was superb. We also took a wonderful boat ride on Lake Naivasha to see hippos and pelicans up close. (We only wished we had stayed one more night here!) ​Maasai Mara: We stayed at Mara Maisha Camp, which had a cozy, natural tented vibe with outstanding food. Our game drives here were fantastic—we came face-to-face with four of the Big Five (elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and lions). We’ll definitely be back to find the rhinos! ​Hot Air Balloon Ride: Ezra arranged a breathtaking sunrise hot air balloon flight over the savannah on our second-to-last day—an absolute bucket-list experience. ​A special shoutout to Ezra for exceptional customer service: when we realized halfway to the Mara that we had left some clothes behind at a previous stop, Ezra professionally arranged to have them delivered to us on our way back to the airport on the final day. ​We cannot recommend Annest Kenya Safaris, Ezra, and John Djomo enough. An Unforgettable Day in Nairobi with John! 🐘🦒🇰🇪
We had an amazing day with our fantastic driver and guide, John! We had a great safari tour where we saw elephants and visited the Giraffe Centre. 🐘🦒 After seeing all the animals, we had a delicious lunch at Karen Blixen, followed by a visit to the museum. In such a short amount of time, we managed to see and experience so much! It was a wonderful day combining wildlife, culture and great food. I would definitely recommend this tour to everyone! Wonderful day with John
I booked the safari trip through WhatsApp and I was immediately surprised about how fast and reliable they answered and appeared. Once in Kenya John, our driver, picked us up. He was standing at the airport enthousiasticly with a funny hat all ready to guide us for the day. We entered his vehicle and drove away and he immediately started telling us all about the city and where we were going. Throughout the safari game he told us all about the animals there and how the park came to be and he had fun facts about almost every animal. He was also in radio contact with other drivers, so if another vehicle saw a lion for instance, he drove us there to look for it ourselves. He really made sure we got as much as we could out of the day. Then John drove us to the elephant orphanage and waited for us and then continued to the giraffe centre where we could feed the animals. He was a fun guy to be around and made sure we came nothing short. He made sure we had cold botteled water and everything concerning paiment was already handeled online. We had a great experience with Annest Kenya Safaris. Our agent Ezra was very patient,Kind and helpful during our booking process. We cannot praise John, our driver & guide highly enough. Over nine days together, John's extraordinary professionalism, work ethic, and passion for wildlife made our experience truly magical, fruitful, and unforgettable. We were consistently amazed by his deep knowledge and his sharp "eagle eyes," which allowed him to spot and identify animals from kilometers away. He is also an exceptionally safe and environmentally conscious driver. We completely relied on John's deep familiarity with animal behavior and the park to plan our daily itinerary: where to go and where to wait for the best sightings. and saw great migration, river crossing, cheetah hunting, and more. Ezra arranged all the camps and lodging in great locations with amazing service. We were absolutely delighted with Soroi Migration Camp , While The Cliff at Lake Nakuru and Soroi Amboseli Camp boast beautiful settings and good service. Last but not least, we are deeply grateful to Ezra for handling my family emergency so quickly and smoothly. Excellent 12-Day Family Kenya and Tanzania Safari
Our 12-day family Kenya and Tanzania safari with Annest Kenya Safaris was an incredible experience from beginning to end. It was one of those special family trips that creates memories we will continue talking about for years to come. From the very beginning, James, our contact person and safari specialist, made the planning process easy and enjoyable. He took the time to understand what our family wanted and carefully planned the entire trip around our interests. The communication was excellent, and every part of the journey was well organized. We always felt that we were in good hands. Our Kenya guide, John, was fantastic. He was friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about wildlife. Every game drive was exciting, and he made sure everyone in the family enjoyed the experience. His knowledge of the animals, their behaviour, the parks, and the surrounding areas made our safari much more than just sightseeing. We learned so much while having an amazing time. When we continued into Tanzania, Pete became our guide and he was equally wonderful. He was professional, welcoming, and very knowledgeable about the wildlife and destinations we visited. He made our Tanzanian experience comfortable and enjoyable, and we really appreciated his enthusiasm throughout our time together. One of the best things about this trip was the variety. We had the opportunity to experience both Kenya and Tanzania, with each country offering something unique. Excellent Service and Communication
Our large group of nearly 50 participants spent a day in Shimba Hills with Annest Kenya Safaris. Because another tour operator cancelled just two weeks before our event, we were left with no outing for our large group and little time to plan. We contacted Annest Kenya Safaris and Ezra and his team pulled together a great excursion that was well planned, fit our budget, and came together at the last minute. Ezra’s communication was excellent and everything was clear and he delivered on everything promised for our group.
