Itinerary – 3-Day Masai Mara Safari from Nairobi

Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara National Reserve (Afternoon Game Drive)

 Pick-up from your Nairobi hotel, residence, or airport. Your adventure begins with a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley, one of Africa’s most iconic geological landmarks. Stop at the Rift Valley Viewpoint for photos and panoramic views.

Arrive in Narok town, a major Maasai hub, for a quick refreshment break.

 Arrive at your lodge or camp near Talek Gate or Sekenani Gate. Enjoy a hot lunch, relax, and prepare for your first wildlife experience.

 Afternoon Game Drive
Your first entry into the Masai Mara! Track elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and predators like lions and cheetahs as you explore the reserve. Your expert driver-guide will tailor the game drive based on wildlife activity.

Dinner and Overnight at your selected lodge or camp

Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive in Masai Mara

 Early Morning Game Drive

Yes, three days allow for at least three game drives, giving you excellent chances to see the Big Five and enjoy the vast landscapes of the Masai Mara. You’ll also have time to relax at your lodge and optionally visit a Maasai village.

It’s approximately 260 kilometers (160 miles) from Nairobi. The drive takes around 5 to 6 hours depending on traffic and road conditions. You’ll travel through the Great Rift Valley, with optional stopovers.
