You’ll embark on a scenic journey along the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway. This leisurely drive takes you through the stunning African savannah, where local homesteads dot the expansive landscape. Keep an eye out for Maasai herdsmen, adorned in their vibrant attire, as they care for their livestock. We anticipate arriving at Amboseli National Park by late morning.
As you enter the park, the majestic silhouette of Mt. Kilimanjaro looms to the south, famously known as the “roof of Africa.” Standing at 19,000 feet, it is the highest peak on the continent and the tallest free-standing mountain globally. This breathtaking backdrop enhances the park’s wildlife experience and is a photographer’s dream, so be sure to have your camera ready for the next three days!
After enjoying lunch at your accommodation, we’ll set off for an afternoon game drive. Amboseli is renowned for its excellent wildlife visibility, featuring all of Africa’s Big Five, along with zebras, giraffes, cheetahs, warthogs, ostriches, and much more. As evening approaches, the clouds may part, revealing the snow-capped summit of Kilimanjaro, offering one of Africa’s most stunning views.
We’ll spend the evening at your choice of safari lodge or tented camp, marking the first of two nights in this incredible park.
Day 2:A Full Day of Game Viewing
A Day of Wildlife Exploration We love to start our safari days bright and early, setting an adventurous mood right from the get-go. As the sun rises over the park, we’ll witness the wildlife emerging on the vast savannah.
Next up is breakfast! Afterward, we’ll embark on another thrilling morning game drive. One of the perks of Amboseli is its open landscape with sparse vegetation, making it easier to spot the animals. We’ll be on the lookout for lions and leopards, along with the park’s iconic procession of elephants.
Watching these magnificent creatures march gracefully against the backdrop of Kilimanjaro is truly a highlight of this reserve. Following our morning adventures, we’ll enjoy lunch at your accommodation, giving you a chance to unwind. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy at your own pace. If you’re eager for more wildlife encounters, your guide is ready to take you on as many game drives as you desire.
We’ll wind down and spend our second and final night in the park, soaking in the beauty around us.

Look for pelicans, kingfishers, egrets, and herons near the marshes and lakes, adding a splash of color to our adventure. After savoring one last breakfast in Amboseli, complete with stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro, we’ll embark on a final game drive as we prepare to leave the reserve.
