10-Day Family Safari Itinerary – A Kid-Friendly Adventure
Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi – Giraffe Center & Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage
Welcome to Kenya! After airport pickup, we check into your family-friendly Nairobi hotel.
Morning at leisure to rest after your flight.
Afternoon visit to the Giraffe Center, where kids can feed giraffes from raised platforms.
Stop at the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage to see baby elephants rescued and raised with love.
Dinner & overnight at Tamarind Tree / Eka Hotel – family wing.
Day 2: Nairobi – Drive to Samburu National Reserve
We journey north, with scenic views of Mount Kenya en route. Samburu offers unique wildlife your kids will love spotting – the “Samburu Special Five”: Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, and gerenuk.
Afternoon game drive.
Relaxing evening by the lodge pool.

Day 3: Full Day in Samburu – Safari & Culture
Morning & afternoon game drives with time to relax midday.
Visit a Samburu village – kids can join in traditional dances and bead-making with Samburu women.

Day 4: Samburu – Drive to Lake Naivasha (via Rift Valley)
We descend into the Rift Valley, stopping for breathtaking views.
Afternoon boat ride on Lake Naivasha – children spot hippos, fish eagles, and playful monkeys along the shores.
Evening at leisure at a family lodge with gardens.
