Day 1: Nairobi to Lake Naivasha

Your safari begins with a morning pickup from your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi by your driver/guide in a comfortable 4×4 safari vehicle. After a short briefing, you’ll depart for Lake Naivasha, located about 1.5-2 hours northwest of Nairobi in the heart of the Great Rift Valley.

Day 2: Lake Naivasha to Masai Mara Game Reserve

Afternoon Game Drive in Masai Mara
In the late afternoon, you’ll embark on your first game drive in the Masai Mara. The Mara is known for its wide variety of wildlife, including the Big Five: lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and rhinos. The open savannahs and rolling hills of the Masai Mara provide an excellent habitat for animals, and your experienced guide will take you to the best spots for wildlife viewing.

As the sun sets over the Mara’s iconic plains, return to your lodge or camp for dinner and an evening of relaxation under the stars.

Day 3: Full Day in Masai Mara Game Reserve

Morning Game Drive

You’ll also encounter large herds of wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, and antelopes grazing on the Mara’s lush grasslands.

If you’re visiting between July and October, you may witness the dramatic Great Migration, where millions of wildebeests and zebras move across the Mara River, often facing predators such as crocodiles and big cats in one of nature’s most awe-inspiring spectacles.

You’ll arrive in Nairobi in the late afternoon, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel or the airport for your onward journey. Depending on your schedule, you may have time to explore the city or do some souvenir shopping before your departure.
